Deep trust between women is a babbling mountain brook
Flowing under jagged winter ice
Go ahead, kneel
Break the wafer-thin ice
with your cold, delighted fingers
Drink deeply, rinse your face, laugh out loud
This water will replenish you like medicine
Our bodies already know how to trust
As women creators, we’ve trusted ourselves for longer than we can remember - we’ve been so skillful and brave at protecting against the forces trying to quench the creative fire inside us.
We’ve kept this fire lit. Meanwhile, many forces have been wearing us down.
The Invitation
Replenish yourself in a women’s circle where we build trust gradually, at the pace our nervous systems were actually designed to handle.
A group that brims over with psychological safety, warmth and connection.
Where we get to know each other at a deep, slow, melting pace - like warm honey in the sun - as we witness the creative "root system" that lives inside each person: what individually sparks our joy, catches our attention, nurtures our ferociousness, comforts our aching, tender bodies, fills us with tenderness and yearning, and drives us to create.
We rarely get this kind of witnessing of the deeper roots of our creative process, because it’s not easy to create a trust-filled group experience that’s gentle yet deep.
Here, we discover a way to get to know each other authentically that isn’t stressful or frightening. A way of lowering our guard and opening up to each other that doesn’t activate our fight-or-flight response.
Using a method called Matrix Leadership SystemTM, which is designed to awaken the intelligence of the group as a living system, we take baby steps in vulnerability, and then gradually bolder steps, until the pace starts to feel really good and true in our bodies and the group starts to hum with trust so palpable you can feel it like an electric field in the room.
What will our time together look like?
We meet 5 times total, just once a month for 2-hour sessions over the course of 5 months, which is a sweet and sustainable pace.
In these sessions, we weave ourselves together as kin through a slow and gentle process as we explore the connections between our creative process and our “stuck” places, the points where the flow in our lives has gotten dammed up.
We will use dazzling snippets from an incredible book called Women Who Run with the Wolves, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, which will run like a silver thread through our dialogue, sharpening our instincts about what feeds or depletes our creative process.
What you'll get from this experience:
The unforgettable healing experience of being in a room where people have gladly woven themselves into a web of trust…
…until the group intelligence awakens like a living organism and pulsates with joy...
…breathing new life and nourishment into our most cherished creative endeavors.
Trans justice statement: Because of where I am at in my leadership and learning (and also because we’re using the book Women Who Run With the Wolves), this group is, for now, primarily an affinity group for cis women - i.e. biologically female-bodied, woman-identifying humans - and our discussions will often center experiences unique to cis women.

I know this is a questionable thing in a trans-exclusionary world. If you are trans and you feel kinship with what I’m doing here and are interested in participating, please reach out to me here.
I am eager to listen and learn from your experience about how this group could evolve.
